We minister to children & youth in many different ways. We are blessed with volunteers who work with the children/youth and give their best to teach and lead them. All the volunteers for our various children and youth ministries undergo a background screening to ensure the safety of those entrusted to our care.
Below are just of few of the things we offer:
A time of worship for children ages 2 - 6 years old, held during our 8:45am contemporary service. After a time of praise music and singing with the congregation, the children then have their time together with age appropriate Bible lessons, activities and crafts. This program allows our children to grow in their understanding of God and know that God wants to be in relationship with all people. We invite you to join us for worship and hope that you will allow your little ones to participate in Wee Worship so that they too may experience God. .
UMYF meets Sunday night (during the school year) in the Youth Room from 5:00 - 6:30pm for grades 6th- 12th.
Members of the community are welcome to join our any of our scout programs. You do not have to attend Cold Springs Church to join our scouts.
Cub Scouts are a part of Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Cub Scouting is a home and neighborhood centered program designed to support family life for boys in 1st - 5th grades. Each Cub Scout learns to respect his home, country, God, and other people. A Cub Scout den provides your son with a group of boys his own age in which he can earn status and recognition. In the den, he will also gain a sense of personal achievement for the new skills he learns. For more detailed information on the Cub Scout program.
Cold Springs has been a supporter of Girl Scouting for over 50 years, serving girls from ages 5 through 18. Troops meet weekly (during the school year) in our Scout Complex and provides a wide range of opportunities for girls. Troop activities can include sciences, crafts, music, camping, traveling and much more. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. We welcome parents, girls and volunteers to come by and see what we have to offer. If you need more information, you may contact Pam Helms at [email protected].
Boy Scout Troop 5 meets Wednesdays (year round) from 7pm - 8:30pm in the Scout Complex behind the church. Boy Scout ages are 11 - 17. Troop 5 was organized in 1954 and has been very active since that time. Troop 5 has produced 98 Eagle Scouts from 1954 to present. We have weekly meetings, monthly camping trips and activities, and participate in a BSA High Adventure trip every 3 years. We also have almost as many registered adults as Scouts. Please feel free to come by and visit any Wednesday night. You may contact Scoutmaster Jerry Helms at [email protected].
